ARCHIVES OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (AEE) (previously Archiwum Elektrotechniki), quarterly magazine of Polish Academy of Sciences is publishing exclusively in English original scientific articles and short communiques from all branches of Electrical Power Engineering in Open Access. The main fields of interest are related to: theory & engineering of the components of electrical power system: switching devices, arresters, reactors, conductors, etc. together with basic questions of their insulation, ampacity, switching capability etc.; electrical machines and transformers; modelling & calculation of circuits; electrical & magnetic fields problems; electromagnetic compability; control problems; power electronics; electrical power engineering; nondestructive testing & nondestructive evaluation.
All published papers are revised.

    Mathematical models and associated discretization methods - formulations for electromagnetic modelling in various regimes. Efficient numerical techniques: finite element, finite difference and integral methods. Fast solvers for electromagnetic applications, parallel computing. Visualization and post-processing. Coupled problems. Material modeling. Inverse problems: design, optimization and sensitivity analysis. Applications: electrical machines and devices, power systems and energy storage, power electronic components, electromagnetic compatibility, antennas, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS).   • Electro heat
    Electro heat deals with the useful electric energy transfer into heat in many practical applications for instance in metallurgy, foundry, heat treatment, chemistry, electromagnetic processing of materials, heating and as well in medicine. Main research topics are mainly connected with modeling of coupled physical fields in order to recognize phenomena. Optimize technology and improve automation methods of electrothermal processes.
