Review process – Quarterly FM&PCR
Original papers and publications in English are given priority in print. Manuscripts should meet the standards and requirements set by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, known as the "Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted a Biomedical Journals: Writing and Editing for Biomedical Publication". The Editor also applies the principles of Good Editorial Practice ("Consensus Statement on Good Editorial Practice 2004"), formulated by the Index Copernicus International Scientific Committee.
The eligibility criteria for accepting or rejecting a manuscript are disclosed in the review form to the public on the FM & PCR website.
Each manuscript is reviewed by two independent Reviewers, selected by the Editors from a group of independent investigators from outside the research unit affiliated by the author of the manuscript. The Author / Authors of the manuscript and Reviewers do not know their identity (double-blind review process). The names of the Reviewers of individual papers or journal issues are not disclosed. A list of Reviewers is printed annually in issue no. 4 and placed on the website of the Quarterly.
The Editor provides Authors with the manuscript review, without revealing the names of the Reviewers. The review contains an unambiguous conclusion concerning the conditions for accepting or rejecting a scientific manuscript.
The Reviewer may find a manuscript:
- suitable for printing without making any amendments,
- suitable for printing after amendments according to the instructions of the Reviewer, without re-review,
- suitable for publication after its redrafting according to the instructions of the Reviewer and re-review,
- not suitable for printing.
